Why do we celebrate Halloween?
Halloween originates from ancient traditions and celebrations. Its roots can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. This festival was considered a time when the boundaries between the living and the dead were blurred, allowing spirits to roam the earth.

When Christianity spread, November 1 was designated All Saints’ Day, and the night before became known as All Saints’ Eve, which eventually morphed into Halloween.
Today, Halloween is celebrated primarily because it is fun and festive. It involves dressing up in often various spooky themes. It has become a cultural event where people engage in intimidation in various forms. Costumes are combined with party and social gatherings.
